Studio
In fall of 2023, I began my first semester of graduate school at Mississippi College. I was fortunate enough to experiment with many different types of studio lighting and techniques. It was such a fun experience to explore color, light, and shadow.
Motion Blur
Motion blur, a way of capturing movement in a still image. This method of photography can create a sense of chaos, while conveying emotion in its natural form. Laughter, joy, sadness these are all things you can feel from a still image. Raw and unfiltered, this is where a story is created.
Generation Portraits
Inspired by photographers Imogen Cunningham, Yousuf Karsh, and Irving Penn, I created a set of nine portraits. My grandmother, mother, and myself as the models. What a lovely way to commemorate our family and love of each other!
These images are hung in the Bob Allen Dunaway Gallery located on Mississippi Colleges campus. They will be for public display December 2023 - January 2024.
